Interview Questions
1. What’s one strategy your business used recently that created meaningful growth?
We shifted fully into a retainer-first model and stopped treating marketing like one-off transactions. By focusing on long-term partnerships instead of projects, we were able to drive better results for clients and stabilize our revenue. That alignment created growth on both sides—clients win more consistently, and our business scales with intention.
2. How has AI or technology changed the way you operate or serve clients?
AI has allowed us to move faster on research, pattern recognition, and early-stage ideation, which frees our team to spend more time on strategy and creative execution. We use technology to enhance thinking—not replace it. The result is sharper insights, quicker turnarounds, and more thoughtful campaigns that still feel human and intentional.
3. What’s one thing you stopped doing that actually helped your business grow?
We stopped saying yes to everyone. Not every client is the right fit, and learning to honor that has been a growth accelerator. Protecting our standards, energy, and expertise allowed us to do better work—and attract better-aligned clients.
4. What’s a customer insight you discovered that changed the way you do business?
Many clients don’t need more ideas—they need clarity and confidence. Once we realized that, we shifted from just executing deliverables to guiding decision-making. That changed how we communicate, onboard, and position our value as true strategic partners.
5. If a business had to improve ONE area to grow faster in the next 90 days, what should it be?
Messaging. If people don’t clearly understand what you do, who it’s for, and why it matters within seconds, growth will stall. Clear positioning drives better sales conversations, stronger marketing, and faster decisions.
6. What’s one thing you do consistently that keeps your pipeline healthy?
I stay visible and relationship-driven. Whether it’s speaking, sharing insights, nurturing partnerships, or simply following up thoughtfully, I don’t disappear when things get busy. Consistency builds trust—and trust builds pipelines.
7. What’s a decision you made in the last year that had a bigger impact than you expected, and what led you to make it?:
Doubling down on our proprietary methodology and leading with it publicly. It clarified our positioning, differentiated us instantly, and gave clients language for why our approach works. That clarity has driven better conversations and stronger opportunities than I anticipated.
8. What’s one process you streamlined that made a noticeable difference in efficiency or results?
Our onboarding process. By standardizing how we gather information, set expectations, and align goals upfront, projects now move faster with fewer revisions and stronger outcomes. A strong start really does change everything.
9. What book, podcast, or resource has influenced your thinking or business decisions lately and why?
I’ve been revisiting materials around systems thinking and decision-making, especially Content that emphasizes long-term value over short-term wins. It’s reinforced the importance of building businesses that are sustainable, not just scalable—and that mindset shapes every strategic decision I make.

I would highly recommend David to anyone looking to improve their digital presence”
David went above and beyond, building my life coaching website from start to finish. He answered my many questions with utmost patience and was honest if he had any limitations (he’s not a graphic designer but has good recommendations). His humor and charm made him very pleasant to work with. David even made me a glossary of terms when we first started when I said it all sounded like Chinese to me! Each request was honored quickly and efficiently.
Naively I hired a web designer on fiverr and did NOT receive what I asked for. When I turned to David, he listened and worked quickly, revised and reviewed with me the aspects of my website that I wanted changed. He set up Google analytics, my Google Business Profile, SEO, and fixed up the disaster that my website was. He advised on design for business cards and logo. I am extremely satisfied with the work David did and recommend him warmly to whomever wants someone honest, hardworking and efficient.
I had the pleasure to work with David on creating a new landing page for my business. His keen attention to detail greatly enhanced the Content, and his strategic feedback on outreach was invaluable. David is highly knowledgeable and focused on optimizing Content. His prompt responses and insightful suggestions ensured a smooth, efficient process from start to finish. I highly recommend David.

A year ago, my website was like a billboard in the desert — beautifully made but invisible. Then I engaged David at I Am Your Virtual Professional.
