Interview Questions

1.  What’s one strategy your business used recently that created meaningful growth?

We started focusing on intentional, measurable networking instead of simply attending more events—using clear weekly targets and follow-ups helped us turn conversations into actual revenue. It created more referrals with less effort.

2.  How has AI or technology changed the way you operate or serve clients?

AI helps us give clients faster clarity—whether that’s turning financial data into understandable insights or helping a business owner shape their strategy. It’s become a tool to speed up decision-making without losing the human touch.

3.  What’s one thing you stopped doing that actually helped your business grow?

I stopped trying to “do everything” for everyone and narrowed my focus to the work that creates the most impact—strategy, relationships, and referrals. Letting go of the rest freed up energy for the things that actually move revenue.

4.  What’s a customer insight you discovered that changed the way you do business?

Clients kept telling me they didn’t need more networking—they needed a way to make the networking they already do actually work. That insight led me to create simple, structured systems like the Networking Navigator.

5. If a business had to improve ONE area to grow faster in the next 90 days, what should it be?

Improve follow-up. Most businesses don’t have a lead problem—they have a consistency problem. Tighten your follow-up rhythm and you’ll see momentum quickly.

6.  What’s one thing you do consistently that keeps your pipeline healthy?

Every week, I review my Power Partners, follow up with recent conversations, and intentionally schedule new connections. A consistent weekly rhythm beats random bursts of activity every time

7.  What’s a decision you made in the last year that had a bigger impact than you expected, and what led you to make it?:

Launching the Networking Navigator had a bigger impact than I imagined—it clarified my message, created new revenue, and deepened relationships. I built it because people kept asking for simple, ongoing guidance, and it turns out they were right.

8.  What’s one process you streamlined that made a noticeable difference in efficiency or results?

We simplified how new prospects come into GLM by using a short discovery email that identifies their bookkeeping system and tax needs upfront. It saves time, gets them to the right accountant faster, and makes onboarding smoother.

9. What book, podcast, or resource has influenced your thinking or business decisions lately and why?

I first read The Platinum Rule in the late 90s and recently revisited it. It reminded me how powerful it is to communicate the way others prefer—something that improves client relationships, networking, and team dynamics instantly.
